hatred will not bear fruit
"volume warning!!! had a bit of amp trouble & didnt try to turn it up more until aroud 6 mins
do not wallow in pity,
do not reach for shame
swallow the hard pills
honor the pain
unlench the jaw, lower the tongue,
let the heart of stone be made flesh again;
hatred will not bear fruit
look upon the bleeding Gods & now down to our hands... does the blood on them match that of theirs, I wonder?
crowned, pierced, burning, & offered: let the heart of stone be made flesh again; hatred will not bear fruit
awaken now, I pray, awaken from our sleepwalking
awaken now, I pray, awaken to lucidity (awaken ((repeated))
awaken
our feet... do they know that which they stand for? do they know the Earth below? are they proud of where they've been & where they are going?
our hands... do they know that which they grip? do they know that which they reach for? are they proud of what they are doing & what they will do?
our ears... do they hear the wisdom in the silence? do they hear the lies disguised as truth? do they listen only to what they agree with?
our mouths... do they speak truth even when it is hard to? are they grateful for that which graces their tongues? do they know why they utter a sound?
our noses... do they turn up at the sight of what is decided as different? do they receive breath as if we are part of this planet, or do they take breath as if we are running out soon?
our eyes... our beautiful, transparent eyes... do they see the light through the darkness? do they ingest without digestion? do they appear open while being willed shut?
are they sleeping now?...
awaken now, I pray.
awaken now, I pray, awaken from our sleepwalking
awaken now, I pray, awaken to lucidity. (awaken ((repeated))
sweet is the nectar
holy is the memory

unclench your jaw now
release all your doubts
hatred will not bear fruit
all that you must do
is stay aligned to your Truth,
be honest & wear your heart out loud...

"let us hope that spirit becomes the order of the day We can no longer afford to worship the god of
hate or bow before the altar of retaliation. The" oceans of history are made turbulent by the ever-rising tides of
hate. History is cluttered with the wreckage of nations and individuals that pursued this self- defeating path of
hate. As Arnold Toynbee says : (quote) Love is the ultimate force that makes for the saving choice of life and good
against the damning choice of death and evil. Therefore the first hope in our inventory must be the hope that love
is going to have the last word (unquote)." - MLK Jr.
